About Us
Our team is passionate about the people, wildlife and culture of Tanzania. We are committed to providing concierge service and delighting our guests. Making your stay at our camp a truly unforgettable experience is the first step in our mission.
Our camp name, Moyo, means heart in Swahili. The camp inception started with several conversations between a born and raised Tanzanian safari guide, and an American family while on a Safari vacation. The local shared his love of his country and people. The American quickly fell in love with the country and culture. Both had a dream and desire of making a difference.
We believe that tourism can profoundly benefit local communities and change lives if you have a heart and commitment to do so. Providing employment opportunities, supporting local farmers, artists, and wood workers is the first step. We have a grander vision of giving back that includes building schools and providing accessible, clean drinking water to the Tanzanian people. In our hearts we believe that education and water change everything. Our mission is to positively impact lives in Tanzania and it all starts by creating a unique, memorable African experience for you at Moyo Tented Camp.
